As you can see WM Tactical contacted me on my Twitter Page through the Notifications section. Here is the post and reply:
Later the company, WM Tactical, renege on its promise to have their Iron Sights Tested by The Firearms Forum ....
I replied back as follows ....

Updated - Received email from WM Tactical, June 23, 2015, requesting email sender's name be removed for privacy reasons. In interest of fairness we are complying with that request.

Answer :
Blog Administrator -
So in lieu of having the sights, I am still offering a Review of the TUOR Iron Sights by WM Tactical.

There are several manufacturers that make after market AR Platform Iron Sights.
1) Magpul - MBUS Pro Front and Rear Sights
2) Diamondhead Polymer Diamond Integrated Sighting System
3) PRI Flip up Front and Rear Sights
4) WM Tactical Tuor Iron Sights

Commentary -
The suggested retail price is $299.00 for the WM Tactical TUOR Iron Sights. This product does NOT warrant spending that sum of money for adjustable iron sights. The price is highly inflated for what the shooter could obtain as a satisfactory investment upgrade.
==> My recommendation on the WM Tactical TUOR Sights is -
a NO BUY.

Competitor Cost Comparison:
1) Magpul - MBUS Pro Front and Rear Sights,
    Amazon has these for $140.00
2) Diamondhead Polymer Diamond Integrated Sighting
System, Amazon has these for $95.00
3) PRI Flip up Front and Rear Sights,
    Amazon has these for $115.00
4) I contacted one of my gunsmiths which does custom machine work for firearms. I can virtually duplicate the WM Tactical Tuor Iron Sights and have them mounted for $85.00.

Firearm Forum Question: What is M.O.A.

Ask A Firearms Question:
New to shooting with a scope. Can you explain and define MOA?
How does MOA determine the Rifle Scope I use?
Thank you Ty Haden.

Subsequent related question -
I have a Remington Model 750, 30-06 Rifle. I want to install a Picatinny Rail on my Rifle. How many minutes of angel does this rifle have?
Thank you Mr. Puma.

MOA is an abbreviation that stands for -
Method of Angle
The Definition of M.O.A. is:
MOA is essential a convenient method for shooters using English units to measure angle.
One (1) MOA = 1.0472 Inches at 100 Yards (91.44 meters).
Rifle Scope Manufacturers and Shooters both simply round the 1 MOA = 1 Inch, which makes MOA a handy unit to use in ballistics.
One of the most common reticles in Optics is to use a Red Dot which is placed on the target by the shooter. These are generally a small Red Dot measured in 5 MOA. The Dot size is generally 1.5 mrad which is small enough not to obscure the target but large enough to quickly acquire a target.
Many Optics now offer a combination of Green Dot and Red Dot. Green Dots are more visible during bright sunlight and Red Dots work better in cloudy overcast daylight, indoor shooting ranges, or night vision. These optic devices use a battery and project a dot to the target. Correct acquisition (aiming) is done by adjustments up or down and right and left, which is referred to as Vertical and Horizontal, the same method used in a Rifle Scope.
Often times in action shooting with a handgun, a larger dot is used for fast movement and accuracy.
Rifle Scopes do not use projected color optics, instead they place a cross hair or cross with a dot on the target of vision that is seen by looking through the scope with the naked eye, see photos below ....

Many Shooters use a Rangefinder to establish the distance from their shooting point to the target. This device simply sends out a laser beam and measures the distance from the target to the front of the rangefinder. These are very handy when not shooting at a gun range with pre marked target distances.
I personally use a Leupold GX-3, shown below ...

Answer :
Blog Administrator -
M.O.A. or Method of Angle is not complicated to understand if you do not read more into it than simply follow the use.
Below are 2 Youtube Videos.
The first video explains MOA in detail and how to use Method of Angle for Shooting.
The second Video explains how to choose a Rifle Scope for your needs.

As to how many minutes of angle a particular rifle has varies on every rifle, type of scope and optics used. Consult both the manual of the firearm and the manual for the scope or optics used. Hopefully the two videos below will also lend some assistance, see more after the videos.

Firearm Forum Question: Testing the Izor Armory Rifle Flash Hider and Suppressor

Ask A Firearms Question:
No question today ...
This is my personal 'Review' of Izor Armory Flash Hider/Compensator and Rifle Suppressor on two different 300 Winchester Magnum Rifles; a Remington 700 USMC Sniper Rifle, and a Savage Hunting Rifle.

My personal REVIEW of the Product below ...
The two rifles, a Remington and Savage both with Scopes and both in 300 Winchester Magnum had threaded barrels with Flash Hiders added. The TEST was conducted at the Ben Avery Outdoor Shooting Range. It was very windy with blowing dust, 20 Mph gust to 26 Mph. The range was busy with a lot of shooters.
The Db (decibel) rating average without Suppressor (silencer) was ...
Remington 300 Win Mag USMC Sniper Rifle = 150 Db.
Savage 300 Win Mag Hunting Rifle = 145 Db
The Db (decibel) rating average with Suppressor (silencer) for both Rifles was ...
130 Db

Target Distance was 100 Yards.

Ammo (ammunition) used for TEST ....
Federal Deer Thugs, 300 Win Mag, 180 Grain Bonded Soft Point -
Muzzle Velocity - 2,950 fps
At 100 Yards = 2,760 fps

Answer / Review:
Blog Administrator -
The Threaded Barrel and Flash Hider / Compensator done by Izor Armory performed perfectly on both rifles.
The Rifle Suppressor (silencer) greatly reduced the sound but still would be fairly audible at around 130Db.
Izor's Steel Rifle Suppressors, however, are designed to work on any Rifle from 30 Caliber through 300 Win Mag. Performing this well on a 300 Winchester Magnum Caliber would reflect a BUY recommendation for rifles like the 300 Blackout or the AR15 Platform in 5.56.
In addition, Izor Armory Rifle Suppressors are reasonably priced compared to other similar manufacturers on the market for the same use.

Firearm Forum Question: Product Review of the Flambeau Outdoors, Oversized Safeshot Double Gun Case

Ask A Firearms Question:
No question today ...
This is my personal 'Review' of the Flambeau Outdoors, Oversized Safeshot Double Gun Case.
I recently purchased one of these from Amazon.com for $41.15 including tax (note, S&H was free because order was over $35.00).
See the manufacturers description of the Gun Case; and my personal REVIEW of the Product below ...

Product Details from the Manufacturer -
Product Dimensions: 16.5 x 53.4 x 4.5 inches.
Actual Weight Empty: 2.8 pounds.
Four locking points for security.
Combination of piano style hinge and brass hinge provide durability, safety and protection.
Oversized double will accommodate two scoped rifles.
Durable egg-shell foam.

My Review and Opinion of this Product:
1) My Remington 700 with Flash Hider, Bi-Pod, and Scope is longer than some Rifles. I purchased this case because I needed a longer, wider, deeper case that was reasonably priced.
2) The case fulfills my needs but understand I am simply storing the rifle and using this case for transporting the rifle to and from the Gun Range only. For this purpose the Gun Case is quite adequate.
3) The case is inexpensive so if you are looking for quality, aluminum, roughness, waterproof, durability, and able to ship a firearm on a plane, train, bus, or ship this case is NOT for you. The Flambeau Outdoors, Oversized Safeshot Gun Case is molded plastic.
4) You get what you pay for. Spend the money for what you need not what someone else thinks you should purchase.
5) My downside review on this case simply is that the Manufacturer, Flambeau Outdoors, states the case will hold two rifles with scope. I found this not to be true. It holds one Hunting Rifle with scope, bi-pod, and flash hider. When closing the lid with the Remington Bolt removed, the case is still a tight fit. This case needs to be one inch deeper. Also the foam padding is not secure and falls out.
6) Amazon quickly shipped the case and I received it in 5 days via UPS.
7) As for durability, I just received it. As for actual use one trip to the Gunsmith and one trip to the Outdoor Gun Range, and so far so good. Time will tell the rest.

Here are my photos of the Flambeau Outdoors, Oversized Safeshot Double Gun Case in use ...

Answer / Review:
Blog Administrator -
For the money I believe it was worth the price, but again you get what you pay for.
This case is very similar to a Plano but comes in a larger size for my needs.
As far as Flambeau Outdoors claim it will hold 2 Rifles with Scopes, I don't see it happening.

I Rate this Gun Case as a ... BUY

Firearm Forum Question: Storing Your Rifle Scope

Ask A Firearms Question:
How can I inexpensively store a Rifle Scope?
Thank you Eric Catwalder.

Storing Your Rifle Scope:

Option 'A' - Use the box the Scope originally came in ....

Option 'B' - Purchase a Rifle Scope Case ....

Option 'C' - Purchase a Military Surplus Rifle Scope Case (I have one of these) ....

Answer:
Blog Administrator -
I have a military surplus scope box that I picked for $2.00 and I use that on one of my old scopes, see picture above.
But if I have the old box the scope originally came in, I just store the scope back in that box.

But to answer your question, the least expensive way to store a rifle scope is shown in the homemade video below.

Option 'D' - Use an Old White Athletic Sock ....
Reasons for this method:
1) If you purchase a New Rifle with a Scope attached it may not have a separate box for the scope itself.
2) If you purchased a used Firearm with a Scope, most likely it did not come with the original box the scope was packed in.
3) Many people change out there Rifle Scope to a more expensive better quality scope, and keep the old one, which would have to be stored.
4) Some gun owners do not like to store their rifles with the scopes attached.
5) Often times the simplest method is the best method.

Homemade Video: How to Inexpensively store your Rifle Scope ....

Note: I do not recommend purchasing a Rifle Scope Case unless your scope is of high value.

Firearm Forum Question: Winchester Lever Action Rifles, Product Warning Notice

Ask A Firearms Question:
Is there a Product Recall on the Winchester Model 94 Lever Action Rifle? I have heard there is, and then heard there is no recall. I recently purchased a used Model 94, 30-30 Caliber Lever Action Rifle for Hunting, and I am reluctant to now use it?
Thank you Tony Rasman.

Winchester Model 1894 Carbine Lever Action 30-30 Caliber Rifle:

Answer:
Blog Administrator -
This is a nebulas area. Winchester claims it is not an official 'Recall Notice' but rather a 'Product Warning for Gun Owners', this is per Winchester's website. The entire 'Product Warning Notice is posted below along with the LINK to Winchester Firearms Page.

Note: Some of the Models noted below are Bolt Action Rifles.

Personally, if you own one of these Winchester Rifles listed below, I would have it checked out by a qualified Gunsmith, preferably one that specializes in Winchester Firearms Products.

The Olin Corporation, through its Winchester Division, is warning users of the above firearms that when there is a live cartridge in the chamber, dropping, jarring or bumping the firearm may cause an accidental discharge, which may result in property damage, serious personal injury or death to the user or others:
With the hammer in the full-down position, a slight impact to, or bumping the hammer can cause a discharge.
With the hammer in the half-cock safety position, a hard impact to the hammer, such as from dropping the firearm, can break the safety mechanism and cause a discharge.
With the hammer in any position, a hard impact, such as from dropping or jarring the firearm, can cause a discharge, even if the hammer is not impacted.
To reduce the risk of accidental discharge, follow safe firearm handling practices, including:
Always maintain control of the firearm and keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction at all times.
Never place the hammer in the full-down position when there is a live cartridge in the chamber.
Never rely on the half-cock safety to prevent accidental discharge due to dropping or jarring the firearm, or hard impacts to the hammer.

Firearm Forum Question: Threading a Hunting Rifle Barrel and Adding a Flash Hider

Ask A Firearms Question:
What is your thoughts on Threading a Hunting Rifle Barrel and Adding a Flash Hider?
Thank you John Paul Steckler the 8th.

Example:
Savage 300 Winchester Magnum Rifle ....
Savage Rifle Barrel before Threading and Flash Hider Added ....
Rifle after being Threaded and Flash Hider added ...

Answer:
Blog Administrator -
For the most part it is an excellent idea. Adding a Flash Hider on a large caliber center fire hunting rifle can reduce the recoil by 25 to 40 percent.
I recently had my Savage 300 Win Mag Barrel threaded and a Flash Hider added, see pictures above.
The downside is the front sight must be permanently removed. Also if this is a collector or high value rifle I wouldn't do it.
But on a standard modern Hunting Rifle like a Savage or Remington that is all ready outfitted with a Rifle Scope I would recommend it.
Note - Many New Hunting Rifles do not come with Iron Sights.
Also once the barrel is threaded it can now accept a Suppressor (silencer).
Since the front sight has been removed the use of iron sights to sight in your target is pretty much out of the question so a Rifle Scope would be needed. Therefore, cost becomes an issue. If you all ready have a Rifle Scope mounted then get your Hunting Rifle Barrel Threaded and a Flash Hider added. Make sure you use a reputable gunsmith for threading otherwise the rifle barrel is rendered useless. You would then have to replace the entire barrel or cut the barrel length down. Also make sure you put on a quality Rifle Flash Hider these usually cost around $45.00 to $60.00. Threading a Rifle Barrel is between $65.00 and $135.00.
