Firearm Forum Question: Shotgun Shell Recall

Ask A Firearms Question:
I was recently given a box of 12 Gauge Hevi Steel Shotgun Shells. At the gun range I was about to test some when a person came up and said these are on Recall, is that true?
Thank you George Applebee.

Yes, There is a RECALL Notice out on the above Shotgun Shells (ammo).
This Recall Notice was issued in November 2014.
The shotgun shells were sold between July and November 2014.
The recall notice is do to defective Wads in the Shotgun Shell, which may cause a squib round, if a second round is fired this could result in damage to your shotgun or personal injury or both.
