Yes, this is true a RECALL Notice was issued on the earlier Models of the Sig Sauer P238 Semi Auto Handgun.
This Recall notice was issued in July 2009.
There may be some of these still out there so if you own a Sig P238, check your serial numbers or call 603 772 2302 for Sig Sauer Customer Service.

    Concerning Firearms ReCalls - There is NO expiration date on recalls for various reasons.
    If you own or purchased any Firearm always check to see if there is a recall on that model.
